Stavros Piperidis is a Public Service Fellow, a Fulbright Fellow in Greece, and an Onassis Foundation Scholar at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International and European Studies from the University of Macedonia in Greece. With a keen focus on the evolving security landscape in the Euro-Atlantic region, Stavros has dedicated his academic and professional endeavors to understanding and addressing the complex challenges facing transatlantic relations. Born and raised in Greece, Stavros served as a Corporal of the Hellenic Military Police during his conscription. He then interned for the G5 Branch of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Greece. In the wake of Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, he had the opportunity to witness the Alliance’s unwavering commitment to collective security during his internship at the Permanent Representation of Greece to NATO. Inspired by this experience, he co-founded and co-organized the Skills Academy for Transatlantic Young Citizens (SATYC) upon returning to Greece. This innovative NATO-funded project aimed to empower youth and foster interdisciplinary collaboration to tackle critical security issues.
