Kristine Beitland is the Nordic Government Affairs Director at Microsoft Corporation who is passionate about her work at the intersection between technology and society.
Beitland also serves as a member of several boards of directors and advisory boards, including the American Chamber of Commerce in Norway, the Norwegian Center for Information Security, the Norwegian Association of Lawyers’ Tech Forum, and the Norwegian sustainability think tank GoForIT.
She has previously served on the government’s Vulnerability Committee, been the managing director of the Business Security Council, and spent 16 years with the police, holding several key positions including head of Organized Crime in the Police Directorate, Chief of Staff of the National Police Immigration Service, and head of Oslo police district’s largest prosecution team.
Kristine is a graduate of Oslo University Law School, and a former student at Hamline Law School. She lives in Oslo and is married with two children.
